Growing Baby Rae

This is Rae's new binki that she loves. We were having some binki issues with the kind the hospital gave us. She just didn't like it and refused to suck on it even though she wanted something to suck on. THANKFULLY she has an inspired mom (ah thank you) who happened to have a dream that she liked this particular kind of binki. So after one little trip to Food Land and about 3 well spent dollars later she is one happy camper.

Yesterday she had her one month check up and she is getting so big:(  She weighs 10lbs 1 ounce and grew a whole inch! I can't believe how fast she is growing!

She also had her fist visit to the beach yesterday. Seth and I were feeling adventurous and decided to leave Laie for the first time since our little one joined the family. We cruised over to Haleiwa for lunch and shopped around a bit. Rae was so good and basically slept the whole time. On our way back home we got to Sunset Beach just time to watch the sun go down. I love it when that happens!
Here's Rae laying out. ha ha, so cute.

Earth Day

I’m not a total tree hugger or anything, but I was definitely raised to love and take care of our planet thanks to me ma ma Jane. She's always going on walks and taking an empty trash bag with her so she can fill it with trash along the way. She used to bribe me and my friends with food, movies and stuff to each take an empty bag and go with her. I wish I caught on to her earth friendly habit a little better because it’s such a nice way to contribute. Maybe I'll make it a family goal to start doing this when Seth, Rae and I go on our walks. Sounds easy enough!

Hale 3 Here We Come!!

As of the beginning of August Seth and I will be the official Hale Coordinators of Hale 3 here at BYUH for the single girls dorm! We are super stoked about this opportunity for a number of reasons. Financially its awesome, free rent and and food all next year, but also I am really happy because I will be able to work full time and be a full time mom as well. This is the only job that would allow me to do this. The other wives Ill be working with are so awesome. One has an adorable little boy, another has a sweet little girl (playmates for Rae yeah!) and two of them are pregnant! So fun. It will be a big task and a busy year, but Im excited and up for the challenge. It's a HUGE blessing for sure.

Our Daughter the Super Hero

Doesn't she look like she's about to take off flying to rescue some one. Perhaps a fellow baby in distress. Go Rae Go!
Seth and I are always so paranoid about Rae being to cold when she sleeps. I realize we live in Hawaii and it's never THAT cold, but I swear this week has been pretty chilly. Anyway, we always swadle her so snuggly warm before we put her to bed, but within a few miniuts her arms and legs are totally spread out and all over the place. Maybe we should ease up an the layering and swaddleing!
While I was pregnant seth and I got into a great habbit of going on a walk every night. It was good excercise for me and a really nice time talk as a couple about our days and what not. Now, we get to take our cutie pie along with us and I get to push the best stroller ever around! I have learned two things Rae really loves, taking a bath (she would do this all day if we let her) and going for a stroll with mom and dad.
This girl can sleep like its nobodys business.
She has a dimple!
