Life is good right now. It has been a surprisingly smooth transition from two to three kids. I was told by a number of people that two to three is the hardest, so I was getting ready for the worst. But Kate is pure joy all the time. Seriously though. She is a very easy baby and I can say that because Raegan and Jane took a while to adjust to the whole sleep at night and be awake in the day time thing. I LOVE having a newborn again. They are so angelic & helpless and everything is so little and cute!! We all can't get enough of her. I think she has one of us in her face, talking in an alarmingly high pitched voice and kissing her 100% of the time she is awake. Maybe that is why she sleeps so much haha!
We only have one more month here in Portland. I will be sad to leave but things are looking oh so rosy on the other side. It will be amazing for Seth to be done with school. We are so pumped about San Antonio and he loves the practice he is buying into. I want to start packing like...today!
Jane has become a little girl overnight. She has a teeny tiny bit of toddler left in her, but not much:( She has really blossomed over the past few months. She makes us laugh all the time and has a very clever sense of humor. For example this was our conversation at lunch the other day...
Jane: "mommy, knock knock"
Me: "who's there?"
Jane: "pee in your eye"
Me: "Jane that is such potty talk!"
Jane: "no mom the LETTER "P"
Me: "oh, okay well that was close though!"
2 sec. later
Jane: "knock knock"
Me: "who's there?"
Jane: "poop in your eye."
Me: "Janie!!"
Jane: "no mom, the LETTER "poop"
Haha. I can't argue with that.Me: "who's there?"
Jane: "poop in your eye."
Me: "Janie!!"
Jane: "no mom, the LETTER "poop"
Then the other night I had her in the tub and she said...
Me: "Jane time to rinse your hair, lay back"
Jane: "I want to do it my self"
Me: "okay go for it"
Jane: (as she is laying herself back into the water says) "Ladies and gentlemen I will now be baptized"
Priceless.

HA HA HA HA I am dying laughing!!! Did you just crack up on the baptism thing? Oh those girls! They are all so sweet and beautiful. I am glad your transition to three wasn't as bad as you thought, I am scared but my kids are closer together than yours. I figure it will be hard at first but it's doable right!! We got this!! So proud of you and can't wait for your Texas adventure.
Pretty sure I am still laughing at "ladies and gentlemen, i will now be baptized."
Already missing you girls and we haven't even moved yet! Bah!
What a sweetie! I'm pretty sure 2-3 has to be easier, you have no idea what you're getting into when you have the second. And at least for me, they won't be so close...San Antonio sounds great! So happy you guys have found something you're excited about.
OH Jane! You are so funny :) I love this post Linds! That little Kate is so obviously loved from those photos as well. We are going to miss you guys like crazy!!! Jane and Raegan totally look grown up to me even.
Sweetest pictures ever! Kate is so precious... Just like all your girls! Ha ha Jane is hilarious. Kids definitely say the darndest things :) The "Dental School days" are flying by now and all though we're of course happy and excited, I can't help but be a little depressed knowing our lives will all take different journeys now! Love you guys :)
I totally laughed out loud at her jokes. So cute! And I've been feeling like you lately, Benton has just blossomed into the sweetest, funniest kid. I'm absolutely loving this stage with both of my boys.
