Rae is such a big girl. This was her first time eating Rice cereal. She was all about it. Loved it. Now she has a bowl before she goes to bed every night. Which means she has a bath every night too. Oh this girl just melts my heart. Such a sweetie.

Welcome Indie Kalea Thomander!
Meg did awesome, I am so proud of her.
Raegan is very excited to have a friend to play with. Indie was sweet enough to share her cool hospital bed with Rae. I think they really liked each other!

Little Miss Sleepy Head
Raegan hasn't been napping very well lately. She has a hard time falling asleep and then once she does get to sleep, it's for a very short time. So Seth and I have been tying to help her relax, get in the "take a nap" kind of a mood. We'll rub her back, stroke her hair, put calming music on and hold her hand etc. (And for those of you thinking why don't you just leave her there and let her cry it out, it's because if I can get her to fall asleep without having her cry her little eyes out, then I will).
She really likes to hold hands which is so sweet and endearing, but somewhat exhausting when your standing over her crib forever with an aching back. But we recently discovered that if we let her hold our finger for just a couple minutes, then slyly slip in the leg of this adorable doll meg made her, she holds on to it and wala! She sleeps soundly and all is well in the Huish casa!

That was fun
Oh how I love visiting the fam!!! I have the best parents and in-laws ever. We had such a good time visiting Park City. I definitely got my fill & Rae loved spending time with all her grandparents. There are pictures of our trip scattered on about three other cameras so I'm not to sure if we will get a hold of them any time soon, but these are some pics I took the day before we left with my mom and dad.
Raegan had a lot of firsts while in Utah. She went to her first play at Tuachan in St. George, her first Rodeo in Oakley, her first out door concert in Deer Valley, her first firework show (which by the way, she fell asleep during!! How is that even possible?) she even went to an art exhibit and saw Monet, Picasso & Dali originals!! And of course she was a dream through it all.
It feels really good to be back in Laie. Hotter than heck, but good. I'm excited to get back into a routine and what not. Rae is a bit off with her sleeping schedule because of the time difference so we have been getting up at 5:30 every morning. Hopefully that wont last too long because 5:30 is a tiny bit too early for me! Ha.
Anyway thanks family for the best trip ever we love you soooo soooo much!

A Daybook of Comfort & Joy

This book has become a breath of fresh air for me every time I pick it up. Sarah Breathnach wrote it in an attempt to live a more meaningful and simple life. While writing it she realized that she was a women "in desperate need of Simple Abundance". She said "During a time of profound introspection, six practical, creative, and spiritual principles---gratitude, simplicity, order, harmony, beauty, and joy--- became the catalysts that helped me define a life of my own."
She talks about enjoying the Simple pleasures of everyday life and suggests writing down or keeping track of our own simple pleasures. An uplifting activity I would love to turn into a daily or at least a weekly habit.
Some of My Simple Pleasures
~ Raegans Smile
~ good conversation
~ long naps
~ yummy smelling candles
~ holding hands with Seth
~ writing 'thank you' 'birthday' 'get well' & 'christmas' cards
~ hot showers (with my favorite Shampoo/Conditioner!)
~ wrapping presents
~ flowers
~ the first snowfall of the season
~ riding bikes with Seth
~ good music
~ Children's books
These are the "simple pleasures" that make my life joyful and authentic. These are the things that make me a happy person. This book is something every women should read. Its a boost of positivity and a reminder to live your life to its fullest.
"pick up the needle with me and make the first stitch on the canvas of your life. Invite the Spirit to open up the eyes of your inner awareness. Be still and wait expectantly, knowing that in the warp and woof of your daily life as it exists today are the golden threads of a simply abundant tomorrow." - Sarah Breathnach

Ok, so if you haven't had a good laugh yet today, this very well may be your ticket. It's funny, it's creepy and now I'm sharing it with you.
