Christmas

We spent Christmas in Utah with our families. The first week we stayed in a cabin in Oakley with Seth's family. Highlights were definitely sledding and the Huish family talent show. It was fun seeing what everyone put together. The girls loved the snow & Raegan was totally fearless going down those huge hills. Lots of fun:)

Of course we stopped to see the gorgeous Temple lights.

On Christmas eve my parents took us to have Christmas High Tea at the Grand America. We all loved it.   It should really become a tradition. The girls were so into it. They've played tea party enough times at home to know exactly what to do! They would pour their hot cocoa, add some whip cream, take a bite of the goodies, sit and chat... adorable. And can you believe Santa and Mrs Clause came!?! They read stories to the kids, sang songs and handed out candy canes. It was amazing:)

Yep we have matching Christmas T-shirts. Don't hate.

Thanksgiving to Christmas

Thanksgiving was a great little break. We headed to Washington with the Brinton's to stay with Seth's Aunt Melinda & Uncle Craig. We've spent the last five Thanksgivings away from family, so it was a nice change this year. Melinda made an amazing feast and I learned a lot while helping her prepare. But I have to admit that Raegan got the best helper award. I think she asked Melinda "how can I help?" about a hundred times. Shes the best.

Portland Zoo lights...

Raegan had her Christmas dance recital on Friday. She cracks me up. The first thing she said when she finished her dance was "mom can I have a cookie now?" ...Uh sure honey, go grab a cookie:) Totally unfazed to being on stage in front of a bunch of people clapping and cheering.

Best weekend

I have been totally spoiled for the past week. It started last Wednesday with an awesome Feist concert with Seth. It was kind of last minute, but was so worth it.

On Saturday Raegan and I went to Pinkalicious the musical (unless you have a little girl you probably have know idea what this is ha)! It was darling. Raegan loved it. I've never seen so much pink in my life.

Then there was girls night. This was my first time leaving Seth and the girls over night. I have to admit, at first I was feeling a little homesick or something. It was weird not being able to tuck the girls in bed and check on them, but at the same time it was good.

We started our evening eating at the most amazing restaurant called Departure. It was awesome. The food was so, so good.

After dinner we made a little stop at Trader Jo's for some treats, then headed to Hotel Lucia where we had no end of polish and chocolate. We talked till about....mmmm 3am. Definitely the latest I've stayed up in years. It was so nice to be with friends and feel recharged again. I loved coming home to my family waiting to tell me all about their night and the fun they had with dad, which included Seth wining an ipad 2...yep that's right!
So basically I partied all weekend and woke up Sunday totally sick. Jane and I had sore throats, stuffy noses and hearty coughs. After all that, we've spent the last three days recovering at home. But it was worth it:)

Let the Christmas music begin...

Halloween is over. I'm trying not to over look Thanksgiving (or my b-day) but I just love Christmas so much! I need two months of Christmas music. One isn't quite enough.
