I love these girls. They are basically everything you could want in good friends. When ever I spend time with them I am left feeling happy, uplifted, and rejuvenated. They are amazing, intelligent, witty women and I am so glad we got to celebrate two of their birthdays with an afternoon of tea. so fun.

little joys

I thought I'd write an update of the girls. They are both growing faster than I want them to and are constantly impressing me with everything they learn & do. I love these girls. I am so thankful for my family. I feel like we were made to be together, exactly the way we are right now. Mama, Dada, Raegan and Jane, just like that. Happy. Content.

Raegan is a burst of personality, humor and love. Seth and I are laughing at her 99% of the time. here are a few things she has said as of late...
~Pretending to work and answer the phone like I do..."Creek Side Apartments"
Rae: Apartments! (pause) Actually yes we do have lolly pops! Oh, your sick? Someone bonked you on the head? That's so sad.
~While putting on her shoes and coat to get ready to leave....
Me: Do you want to go play at Rylees house? Her Aunt will be there to watch you.
Rae: Rylees ant?.....Rylees spider???....
~Eating a snack at the table while conference is on. Elder Holland is giving a talk about being thankful for all the things members do. (ex. the young women leaders who go to girls camp, with no showers or shampoo...etc) Raegan looks up and says..
Rae: HEY that prophet said shampoo!
~Same day, I come down stairs and President Eyring is speaking, Seth says to Raegan...
Seth: Raegan tell mommy who is on the TV?
Rae: (a little unsure) Ummm..... i pod!?!
Raegan is such a joy.

Jane is 8 months. I don't know how this happened because It feels like yesterday she was just born.
Words I think of when I think about Jane....happy, squishy, tender soul, tolerant, soft, perfect.
She just started sitting up a few weeks ago and ever since, the two of them will camp out in the middle of the floor with a huge pile of toys and play together for long, wonderful, self occupied amounts of time (which I love). She Recently started saying mama, dada and nana (mama was officially first:) Still no crawling. Though she did roll over once, but has shown no interest in doing it again.
Seth is doing great in School. His curriculum has shifted to more hands on lab work and actual dentistry, which is really fun for him. He's become a total pro at balancing school, family and church, for which I am soooo grateful. The girls and I always look forward to hearing the lock turn on the front door and seeing daddy there to greet us. He is an incredible father and husband.
I feel blessed and happy. I love my family. So thankful to spend forever together.

September
California~

This was probably the most fun vacation ever. We had such a good time soaking up the sun in Cali, seeing good friends, Road tripping to Utah to spend time with family and enjoying all the down time in between. School started up again for Seth today and although being on break is so nice, there is still something good about getting back in a routine again with every day stuff. Plus the holidays are right around the corner!
